Disney Vacation Club
Disney Timeshare? Why Not!
Walt Disney and all that it encompasses; Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Euro Disney, Disney Cruises and all
the various Disney Media outlets, has a very simple formula for success. Build it big, make it 100% family friendly,
make it colourful and make it themed (of course you have to have a cartoon mouse). The results speak themselves, if
you build, they will come! Disney timeshare falls right in line like a good soldier.
The Disney Timeshare program is called “Disney Vacation Club”. The Program consists of eight high-end condo style resorts. When it comes to
deciding on where to built you multi-million dollar vacation ownership complex, picking a location is probably the most important decision you
have to make. So, it is no surprise that when Disney decided to jump into the timeshare market in the late nineties, they took this decision
very seriously. After about 7 seconds of deliberation, some genius decided the state the obvious. Orlando Timeshare Developers
have been selling millions of unit for years based on the premise that their resort was in close proximity to WALT DISNEY WORLD. Disney, being very
good at just about everything, decided to build seven of their eight timeshare resorts within close proximity to the center of the Timeshare
universe, Orlando Florida. With the only exception being Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort, I guess that they finally conceded the point
there might be someone, somewhere in the developed world who might want to go somewhere besides the Magic Kingdom for vacation.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas
This is Disney Vacation Club’s newest addition to the Timeshare Industry. This African Savannah
Theme resort has almost 500 units in 2 separate buildings. The first phase of this, the eighth resort
in the DVC family and the fifth located in the Walt Disney World Resort opened officially in the summer
of 2007. The first phase was actually a sampling of remodelled rooms from the already existent Disney’s
Animal Kingdom Lodge. The next phase is a purpose built, timeshare super resort that will be available
in 2009. The resort features several restaurants and lounges as well as a world class fitness center.
The real show pieces however, are Samawati Springs Pool - a 4,700-square-foot pool with slide and two
whirlpool spas and Uwanja Camp - a 4,200-square-foot interactive water-play area. Who needs Mickey Mouse?!

Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
Although this will surely change in the near future, currently this is the largest of the Disney Timeshare Resorts. It
boasts over 800 units and more than 1200 guest rooms on its 65 acre property. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa
lies on what was once the Disney Institute and although it is not actually on the grounds of the Magic Kingdom, it is just
a short shuttle ride away. In keeping with the Disney tradition of everything needs a theme, this timeshare resort does
not dissapoint. It is theme to pay tribute to an 19th century Victorian resort from the north east. To maintain the
integrity of the theme, this Disney timeshare resort was actually designed by Graham Gund Architects of Cambridge, MA.

Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort
This is the only Timeshare resort in the Disney Vacation Club portfolio that is not located in the orbit of the Magic Kingdom.
It is located on a secluded 15 acre private island in Hilton Head South Carolina. This is one of the earlier timeshare resorts
produced by Disney, opening its doors in the spring of 1996. It is it themed to pay tribute to an past generation, hunting or
fishing lodge. Although it is far more elaborate than any lodge I have ever spent time in. The rooms are large, immaculately
clean and contain full kitchens and beautiful balconies. Although there is not a full service restaurant on the grounds, there
are several places to grab a bite and there is never a shortage of things to do, swimming pool & pool games, crabbing, art, bicycing,
kayaking and the Hilton Head staple, tennis.
